INFIRE SMART 680 Wood-burning fireplace with ventilation BODART & GONAY

The INFIRE SMART 680 with ventilation is a wood-burning cassette designed for wall mounting, combining the warmth of a traditional fire with cutting-edge technology. It belongs to the new generation of equipment from Bodart & Gonay, a manufacturer with over 70 years of experience, and complies with stringent European regulations.

This model is slightly larger than the SMART 600 , offering a wider view of the fire and slightly higher power, ideal for medium-sized rooms. The main difference from the fanless model is that this unit incorporates two energy-efficient fans that help distribute heat more quickly and evenly throughout the room.

Choose your door style

You can choose between a steel door or a glass door , both at the same price :

• Steel door: More traditional, robust and classic appearance.
• Glass door: Maximum view of the fire, more contemporary and clean style.

Both options have the same performance and quality.

A window to the fire

The door structure is located behind the glass , with the sides angled inwards. This allows you to see much more of the fire and much less metal. The locking system has two positions: you can leave the door slightly ajar during ignition to prevent the glass from fogging up, without needing to keep it fully open.

The fire view is 340 mm high by 537 mm wide, significantly larger than in the 600 model.

Clean combustion and always clear glass

The unit features a dual smoke extraction system that directs hot air onto the glass. This prevents soot from sticking, keeping the glass cleaner for longer. Additionally, the combustion chamber is deep, concentrating the embers in the center and preventing ashes from escaping the firebox.

Intelligent ventilation system

This model includes two DC fans that consume very little electricity (maximum 26 W) and are exceptionally quiet. The system operates fully automatically.

• It starts automatically when the chimney body reaches 55°C (you don't have to do anything).
• It turns off automatically when the temperature drops below 55°C.
• It stops when the door is opened to prevent it from inhaling fumes, and resumes when it is closed.
• Two speeds to choose from: position 1 (slow and very quiet) or position 2 (fast and powerful).

Thanks to the aluminum heat exchangers , the air pushed by the fans heats up faster and more efficiently.

• The temperature becomes uniform (without cold and hot areas).
• You can connect hot air ducts (optional) to bring heat to adjoining rooms.
• It is ideal for medium or large rooms or rooms with high ceilings.

Maximum heat utilization

To achieve high efficiency (over 80%), the interior incorporates a heat-reflecting plate (vermiculite material) that directs the hot gases along a longer path within the appliance. This prevents the heat from escaping quickly through the chimney, instead keeping it in the room and heating more efficiently with less wood.

Easy cleaning and maintenance

• Ashtray accessible from the front: Remove ashes quickly and easily.
• Removable filter: Protects the fans and electronics from dust; it can be easily removed and cleaned.
• Removable air distributors: They can be removed without tools for thorough cleaning.

Versatile installation

The combustion air inlet can be connected:

• From the rear (outside air intake).
• From the bottom (outside air intake).
• From the front (air intake from the room itself).

The feet are adjustable for easy leveling. Finishing frames are included in the price, and you can choose from:

• 4mm thin frame: Minimalist, almost invisible finish.
• 30mm 3-sided frame: Frames the fire on three sides.
• 30mm 4-sided frame: Frames the fire on all four sides.
