How hot will my Jotul F520 get?

The Jotul F520 stove model features double combustion, sealed combustion, and a clean glass system.

Its optimal operating power (nominal with 77% efficiency) is 7 kW, and according to Jotul's estimate, it can heat an area of approximately 140 square meters. At maximum operating power, it reaches 12 kW.

What does it mean that my Jotul F520 has dual combustion?

The double combustion of the Jotul F520 model is an additional supply of preheated air in the upper part of the combustion chamber that allows the burning of all the particles that have not burned in the area where the fuel is located and which - in an appliance that did not have this system - would be ash, soot into the pipe or emissions of particles into the atmosphere.

This over-oxygenation produces a burning of all these particles of material that would normally be waste.

Visually, we observe an additional, beautiful flame, which will translate into greater heat output with lower fuel consumption—that is, greater efficiency. The efficiency figure measures the burning effectiveness.

A stove with double combustion is more ecological, respectful of the environment due to its lower level of emissions and lower fuel consumption.

What advantages does the external air intake on my Jotul F520 offer?

In a sealed stove with an external air intake, the combustion air is drawn directly from outside the house. This maintains its oxygen level.

Furthermore, it eliminates the need for ventilation to refresh the air. In addition, it largely reduces interference from other drafts inside the house, such as those caused by the kitchen extractor fan.

What coverage does the warranty offered by the manufacturer Jotul provide?

Jotul warrants that the cast iron or steel exterior parts of the product are free from defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty covers a period of 2 years from the date of purchase.

The Jotul warranty does not cover repair or replacement of parts subject to normal wear and tear, such as combustion plates, grates, smoke deflectors, interior parts exposed to the fire, and moving parts like handles or levers. The warranty also does not cover broken glass or wear and tear on door and glass seals.
