FM M-182 LK Double-Sided Wood Stove

A conventional stove forces you to choose a room. The M-182 LK from FM Calefacción solves this dilemma with a double-sided, through-wall design: it's installed between two rooms, and both rooms see the fire and receive the heat. It's the natural solution for separating a living room and dining room, or a living room and kitchen, without building a solid wall.

Fire as a separating element

Beyond its heating function, a double-sided stove acts as an architectural element : it visually divides spaces while maintaining a sense of spaciousness and bringing light and movement to both areas. With 17.6 kW of power and a heating capacity of 340 m³ , it has more than enough capacity to heat two rooms simultaneously.

Two turbines with automatic control

The unit incorporates two 160 m³/h 20 W (220 V) fans that direct the hot air to both sides, instead of allowing it to stratify around the unit. The three-position selector allows you to adjust the airflow, and in position 0, control is automatic : the fans start automatically when the heater reaches temperature and stop when it cools down, without you having to monitor it.

75 cm logs: fewer refills

The loading opening measures 660 x 330 x 405 mm and accommodates logs up to 75 cm , an unusual size. You can buy firewood in any commercially available format without cutting it, and each load lasts longer, so you open the door less often and the temperature remains more stable.

Double combustion: 81% efficiency

The interior of the combustion chamber is lined with vermiculite , a refractory material that reflects heat inwards instead of absorbing it, raising the combustion temperature. At these temperatures, the double combustion system burns the gases that would otherwise be lost through the chimney. The result: 81% efficiency with a consumption of 3.68 kg/h. The double chamber also improves the circulation of hot air.

Eco-design with very low emissions

The European Ecodesign Directive imposes strict efficiency and emissions limits on solid fuel appliances. The M-182 LK not only meets these requirements, but its CO2 emissions of 0.07% are among the lowest in the FM range. In addition to its environmental benefits, this certification is often a requirement for accessing subsidies for replacing heating equipment.

Clean glass on both sides

The ceramic glass withstands temperatures up to 750°C and incorporates a clean-glass system : an air curtain sweeps across the inner surface of the glass, delaying soot buildup. This is doubly important in a double-sided unit, as there is twice the glazed surface area to keep clear. The exterior is coated with inorganic heat-resistant paint that withstands temperatures up to 800°C .

Easy maintenance

The grate is made of cast iron , the material that best withstands repeated heating and cooling cycles without warping. The removable ash drawer allows you to empty the ashes by pulling out the tray, without soiling the floor. Independent primary and secondary air control allows you to adjust the combustion to the draft of your installation and the type of wood.

Technical specifications

Before you buy: a double-sided stove requires a specific location—between two rooms, with a vertical flue and access from both sides—so prior planning is essential. The turbines require a 220V power outlet near the unit. The flue needs a 200mm diameter vent, and the safety distances to combustible materials specified by the manufacturer must be observed. We strongly recommend that installation be carried out by a qualified professional.
